I have a Z2 upgraded to a Z3 I am buyiung the new Z110BT this weekend but want to make sure I get the right stuff dont want to get told have to buy more stuff then I need.

1. Will my current XM tuner work with both music and traffic?

2. If not does anyone here have MSN Direct Traffic in Houston and do you like it?

Thanks guys.. for all your help.

XM Nav Traffic will not work with the Z110BT. It will work for XM radio service though.

I have the MSN Traffic in the Dallas area, and it is WAY better than XM NAV traffic. XM only gave traffic conditions and traffic flow for the major interstates. MSN give you incidents and flow on lots of the smaller highways...

Thanks for that info...

I use XM and I dont want to buy another turner for just he music does anyone know if I can keep using it.

Yes, you can use your existing XM tuner for music. BTW, the MSN traffic is much cheaper than XM. I was paying $50 per year with XM. MSN is $99 for lifetime with other cool features than just traffic.

Stero Max off the SW Freeway (northbound)near hillcroft told me $1289 on the phone, I did not try to bargan with him but I am sure you could prob talk him down to $1200 or at least $1250 out the door. I know of another place selling it for $1100, but I don't think they are an authorized dealer though. They get their stuff from a distributor on Harwin, the distributor IS an authorized dealers, they were listed on Pioneers web-site but I think they were taken off because they only sell to dealers. Stereo Max IS an authorized dealer though.

you can also call some of these places on the link below to see what they charge and/or if you can talk them down.

That is just for the XM Nav Traffic portion right? Cuz $50 a year is a helluva deal for 1 year of XM.

$99 lifetime for MSN Direct? Is that still true? If so, how much is the module?

Yes, that is still the price. And the module runs about 100 dollars as well.

Yes, $50 per year JUST for traffic, plus $77 per year for radio...

Wow, either you're getting a heckuva deal on the radio portion, or I was getting screwed... or both. I paid $155.88 for a years subscription to the radio, partially why I cancelled it.

I used the coupon code and tips listed in the XM forum here at avic411... :D

See thats what I get for NOT being here SOONER! If that still works, maybe I could be convinced to sign back up for over HALF OFF what I was paying before!

There is a script detailed on this forum that you can use with the XM reps to get the 77 dollars a year deal. Its pretty much a retention attempt they will give you to keep people from canceling their service. They don't offer it up front usually though, you have to ask for it.

Where do you find the $99 lifetime subscription for msn direct? I went on their website and the only thing I see is a $49,95 ofer for a year.By the way, does it work for canadian customers also?

Posted Oct 15, 2009 · 20:20 UTC#20

I just checked their site, and the lifetime membership option is no longer available. They are only offering $50 per year now. I called to verify and I did give MSN direct a piece of my mind. I am still on my free trial, and was expeciting to renew for $99 lifetime... Now I am pissed off.

I was able to find that Best buy still has one-time prepaid cards available for $129.95 with free shipping and no tax.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 8024996566

I just ordered it. The fine print says:

Restrictions for the One-time Navigation Service Subscription Card:

Service is not transferable to a new owner if you sell or give away the device, and may not be transferred to a different device. Service is not guaranteed after January 1, 2014.

It looks like they just got rid of the $99 lifetime. I saw it on their website 2 days ago and couldn't find it again when I looked again today.

Ditto. Just called, lifetime subscriptions are no longer available directly through MSN. Gonna go grab one of those Best Buy cards right now.
