howdy folks-thanks to all here

i was well on my way to start setting up a carputer rig when i came across this site -glad i did too!- decided to buy the f500bt . easy chioce- purhased this for the same price as a touch screen panel alone, not to mention got a working gps,phone and media player! all this thing needs is a easy way to access the internet. i bought a wifi sd card and thought this was the answer--turns out this is NOT practical--if this were to have a browser in avic this unit would be a perfect truck tool----i do need some help-i have read a fair amount before posting-im a noooob

 

question #1 has anybody tried to us the f500 as a touchsrceen controller for a PC(i have a laptop and a desktop

on a aircard router in the truck) this would be so cool--internet radio,google earth,

and other shipping and recieving info

 

#2 is there a mod that would log your stops along your trip(location,duration,miles between)

 

#3 i saw something when updating to 2.6 about XM & sirius-does this mean that if i screw in a

satelite antenna in the back i will have control of those services on f500? i saw the

port on the back of the unit but thought it was for external gps ant.

 

#4 sorry for this one i know everyones tired of this one!----bottom line does the software bypass

work on the f500? some have said it does NOT work on the f500 i had no luck--as not to say

i did it right -just dont want to waste any more time-and get on with removing my harness

 

in closing if question #1 has not been done i would like to help ($$ and or time) to get this done
