today i downloaded the z3 2009 maps, i have an aftermarket toshiba 40gb drive that i have been using for like 2 years now. i have a z1 upgraded to a z3. so i took out the drive the little screws stripped because they suck and so skinny/small. i drilled them out carefully. i tried to hook up the drive to the computer using the IDE adapter and it would not power on. i tried master, slave flipped it unside down and it would not detect it. so i put it back in my car and what do you know. it says cant use HDD. So i tried my OEM factory one and that works like a charm. i am so mad because now i lost like 140 cds of music on that HD. is it really dead? how did it die?
