Whenever I shut the car down, the iPod video I was previously watching just comes back up as a blank screen, and I have to return to the iPod video menu and start over. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, we all have that problem. Its either a bug in the software or a design flaw. As long as you select the same video you were watching before you left it will resume where it left off.
