not sure if anyone else has had this problem, but here goes. The other day i went out to my car and headed out and noticed that the back lighting was gone from my radio controls, i thought nothing of it, i went to the system settings and adjusted the color and it started working. got to my destination and that was that. when i came back to my car and started out again, all hell broke loose. nothing worked, it wouldnt get past the boot screen, i pressed the menu button several times and atleast got the top menu screen, but the only thing that worked was settings, and in settings, the only thing that worked was the system settings. i tried doing a reset and still the same result.
the next day i recieved my 3.0 update by mail from pioneer so i figured id try to install it and see if this fixed the problem. If only i had been so lucky. When i installed sd card #1 i noticed it was checking files and started deleting old files that were to be replaced by the new update, i thought cool, seems to be doing what its supposed to do. This is when it reached 93% of the update on sd card #1 , and the screen goes red. I get a message " copying error:\storage". i tried to do a reset and re-load again, 93% same thing. it keeps hanging up at the same point after attempting to load the update 25 times, same line .
This the line of the update it keeps hanging on.
card\LPUE080\APL2\iGo\ScanSoft\RealSpeakSolo\SPEECH\Components\vF_Ellen_r40_83swF11_165_04
Now when i try rebooting with the sd card out , it stays on the boot screen until i press the menu button , at the top menu i press settings and go to system settings. i go to service info, and now the version number is 0000, and the map version is 00000, it totally wiped out everything.
I have even tried revereting back to the previous update and it hangs up at 43%, which is the point of the update that is loading voice data, i think mirabellais the voice it hangs on here repeatedly.
I am trying to find my original back up sd card i made before the previous update and hope i can atleast get it restored back to original.
Any sugestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
