It would be useful to have a zoom out screen button. Touching the button once would zoom out an equivilent of say 10 downward presses out the joy stick. Its such a pain now having to press the joystick 20 times or more to zoom out 4 lousy miles. Maybe an menu option could be setup to allow the user to program the zoom out level.

Have you tried holding down the joystick, rather than pressing it momentarily?

No I hadn't tried that before, Thanks, and its much better than single stepping but I find myself easily overshooting the zoom level because of the map display lag. If any hackers are listening, a zoom out button with 10 steps would be a nice feature.
