i installed a firmware update to my avic f900bt and the white screen with the red progress line went up to 88% then just stayed there...fifteen min. passed i finally turned the key off. Now when i turn the ignition key back on. The system loads...I wanna say doesn't load completely; because i get a: "fatal application error" window. Then three min. or so the unit shut off then restarted only to keep doing the same cycle over and over ect. Is there anything i can redo or another type of firmware i can install to fix my pioneer. any help would be most appreciated. thank you

Testmode is a file which lets you get back into the unit if you mess up.Do a search for testmode and you'll find all the info you need. You will then need to reinstall your flash drive.Again there are links on here which will guide you through.Flash drive back ups for all the devices can be found by searching the topics.

I had the same problem with my f90. Fatal error message, then attempts to restart. I did some reading on this site, and I was like you, I didn't know what everyone was talking about. Find the test mode, download it, extract it after you download it, then load it onto a sd card. I made sure there was nothing else on the card but the test mode. put it into sd slot in deck, turned the ignition on, it copied, turned key off and took out the sd car. then i turned key back to on position and it was back to normal.
