Does someone know why my unit automatically turns the gps on when i get a call throught my phone. Is it some option that i need to check off or is it a glitch. Basically, if i have the screen set to the fm stations, and i receive a phone call, my screen goes to naviation and shows me a map of where i am. How do i turn this off. My unit is a 700 series with the second firmware update.

It's always been that way with the AVIC units, a call will dump you to the map screen.

It's not a bug or a failure, just the way it works.

You may want to see if there's something on this in the hacks forum, but for a stock unit it's operating as designed.

How dare a GPS show you where you are!

It could be worse...some peoples GPS' show them 20 ft from where they are.

the word on the street is that they fix this in 3.0 (or at least they where supposed to)
