I may have found a fix for visibility of street names in 3d

Something I've been toying with in the last few days is in the sys.txt file under the [debug] section. I have set fov=55

It was previously set at 40 from the gurjon skin I was using and I think I'm seeing more street names now. Maybe I'm hallucinating or maybe I'm not. Let me know if I am.

How about with the balloons off? I did not have much luck with the balloons on before either. I went back to the standard street labels and have much better visibility now than before. I travel to congested areas frequently and am now able to see the major road name 1 to 1.5 miles before reaching it. Previously it took until I was maybe 2 blocks away. At times I've seen as many as eight nearby streets plus one or two major roads further down. Changing the fov does alter the tilt angles if you have one set in sys txt.

Even with playing with fov you still need to play with the zoom settings, except now it does not need to be as close in as before plus I see more street labels.

Street labels were not that bad for me before as I have been running a fov setting for most of the time I've had 3.0.

Just trowing it out there as it may help someone. YMMV

Fov = 55, no balloons.

This way I can see 7 / 8 street names.

I think it could be due to the scheme used.

Yeah it must be the scheme you're using. How about removing the fov from you sys.txt and that way you'd know whether it is the scheme or not. Must be the 25 schemes I have installed too, but it's strange that now there's more street labels showing.
