Someone has an Avic f700bt for $300 used they want to sell me. I'm looking for an in-dash, should I buy it?

I was told to make sure there is the iGo 8.30 update on it... how do I check this? The person says they don't know. If there isn't one, where and how much does it cost to get the update? What about the other 2.0 update?

$300 is a deal if it comes with all the harnasses, the mic, antenna and is in working condition. 2.0 is pretty awful, you'll have to turn around and buy the 3.0 update right off the bat.
