X-Series 3.0101 for F-Series — AVIC411 Forum Archive

First I want to thank you for all for the great info so far on this site. Now is it true that you can use the X Series updates on the F-Series units? I currently have a AVIC-F700BT and I am thinking of trying the AVIC-X710BT software update. I don't think that any of us should have to pay for this fix\update.

this has been talked about and discussed in no fewer than 50 threads. Do a search and find out.

Thanks for the help terron...But a simple Yes or No would have been more helpfull. I did search this issue and out of hundreds of posts I only found 1 that said I could.

The answer is yes*

*You have to purchase the update to go from 2.0 to 3.0 from Pioneer, Crutchfield or any other vendor selling it. Then and only then you can go to Pioneer's site for the X series to update to 3.0101

OK thanks again... I will try that. Hopefully Crutchfield will ship to Canada probably not though. Update is $150 here from Pioneer.
