Ok so I just installed my ACIC-D2 in my 04' WRX and I love it!!! I have a few questions though.

1) the DVD that came with it says v1.0. Is that the latest?

2) When I am playing a CD is there a way to hide everything but have just the song title scroll (mp3)? I know I can do the full list and also do track details. But I am just looking for scrolling text for the song title.

3) When I am on XM most of the time the song title is cut off on teh display box. Is there anythign I can do about this?

4) I bought the Pioneer XM reciever (non traffic) and the display said you could set favorite artists and it would notify you when they came on a channel. Can I do this with my D2?

5) On the additional options for XM there is a memo screen, but I cant do anythign with it. What is this used for?

6) Can I mute the audio or some some type of att.? Having to turn the volume all the way down then back up is a pain.

7)I believe I wired my unit up correctly. But when I start it the unit tells me the wiring may be wrong, and when I goto the map I get this long ass box telling me to becareful. Can I get rid of thoose anoying boxes.

thanks!

For now yes. A new map set should be out by march.

Not that I remember, but it's been a few months since an mp3 cd or any cd for that matter was in my d.

See #2

Hit the memo button on the right side of the face. It does the song, not the artist.

5) On the additional options for XM there is a memo screen, but I cant do anythign with it. What is this used for?

Don't remember

6) Can I mute the audio or some some type of att.? Having to turn the volume all the way down then back up is a pain.

Any pioneer remote will have an att button, and work with the d.

The one when you fiirst switch to map can't be removed. Be covered many times before. The incorrect connnection of the parking brake lead screen. Did you bypass the d or just ground the parking brake wire. If you did the former, check and make sure the pin you inserted is seated all the way. If the latter, then well you're kinda beat. No matter how many times you reset the unit, it's going to come back.

thanks!

You're welcome.

I hooked up a switch to the cell mute wire and a ground wire. Whenever I need to mute the unit, flip the toggle switch that I put right below the D2 and it mutes it. I love the switch as it used to be such a PITA to hit the volume down button thirty times. :o
