Diamond Audio or Memphis?? — AVIC411 Forum Archive

I justed ordered my Z1 yesterday and today I was out speaker n sub shopping. The 2 main car audio shops around my way gave me different quotes (install, custom box, etc) for the set up they "recommend".

I'm trying to decide which brand has better sound quality(since i never owned a set of either brand). can anyone help :?:

Model numbers of the equipment, year/make/model of the vehicle, what they're quoting $$ wise, would all be very helpful information.

maybe mention what they recommended. unfortunately we dont know what that is until you say so

Out of the two brands, I have only used Diamond and I was VERY impressed.

well since nobody really answered your thread i think i will...I have Memphis competition set up in my car...sounds fantastic...i dont know what your aiming for...do you want a lot of bass or are you just looking for all around good sound? Diamond door speakers are pretty impressive but i prefer the Memphis subs and amps

I take it you are at Cartoyz in Richmond?

Go with Diamond. I have both Memphis and Diamond that car toys installed. I upgraded to Diamond D7s, and I was blown away.

Well I have a 1500 Memphis going to 2 Diamond audio D6's and it hits hard and sounds good. I'm happy with the memphis amps but I think they are power hungry!
