Has anyone tried using an IPOD 4g click wheel on this unit? Does it work? I dont see it on the compatibility list.

it says 5th gen and up, if it would work then i would think that they would list it,

I wouldn't damn it for sure yet, some of it is about how much they're willing to provide support for, and the 4th Gen may be close enough that it works, but isn't "officially" supported.

only one way to find out, just make sure it has the newest firmware on the ipod

The 4G iPod does not work. A message pops up on the screen that says "The connected iPod is not supported".
I was pissed. I went out and bought a 8GB iPod Nano (used, $40) and that works nicely.
