Had to take it out for service. Now it wont go back in all the way!

Seriously, you need to try to move the RCA cables and other adapter boxes around back there, if used. If it fit before, it will again...

take your time, and move as much stuff as far over as you can, reposition stuff as you get the avic further in the hole.

Got it in now the mute is stuck on...

did you move the mute wire for for the bypass, if not then your mute wire probably got pinched and is being grounded out and keep it in mute
