F700bt having issues playing Ipod

Previously there have been no issues with playing my Ipod touch.

I had an issue where the alternator died in my car, and in the process the headunit repeatedly shut off and turned back on. Now, when i plug in the ipod, everything shows up normal on the display, minus there is no sound. The headunit shows the ipod playing, but emits no music. Playing a CD works just fine.

I also have a pioneer headunit in my other car that the Ipod continues to play without issue on, so Im assuming its a Headunit problem.

Any help is appreciated,

Thank you.

Everything is fine. When the alternator died, all the system settings reverted to default. Go to AV System settings and set AV1 to ipod and AV2 to video. You shoud get sound

was your ipod working before and then stopped? or has it never worked? if its the latter, then you probably dont have the right ipod cable hooked up, a regular usb cable will not work as the AVIC uses the usb to control the ipod and the ipods internal sound processor for the sound, so it has to use composite video and audio to get the sound from the ipod to the AVIC. usb for controls and RCA's for sound and video.
