I've been gung-ho about getting the AVIC-F900BT until I went into the local JB HiFi store here in Melbourne and spoke to a friend of mine who works in the car-fi department. He's been there for about 5 years and knows his stuff.
He steered me clear of the 900BT saying the Kenwood DDX7340BTNAV was better, although slightly more expensive.
I brought along a DVD-R disk with MP3's and DivX files. I tried it in the 900BT and the MP3s worked fine but none of the DivX's played. I then played the same disk in the Kenwood and it played the MP3s & DivX's worked first time.
I do like the 900BT's refined graphics, but the Nav unit was SLOOOOOOW. The Kenwood uses the Garmin system and suposedly is the better of the NAV units.
Am I missing something here or should I go for the Kenwood?
Thanks.
