Hello Experts!!!!
I have an 06 Hummer H3 with the Monsoon System that I replaced with the D2. The problem is that that when the factory amp was used (the one next to the subwoofer?), I got a loud POP from my speakers every time I turned off my engine and opened the doors. I also got a constant static noise coming from the head unit (at least it sounded like it was coming from there).
I went back to the Pioneer Dealer who installed it to have them fix those problems, and they suggested I run the D2 head unit directly to the 4 speakers and cut out the subwoofer all together.
They did just that and the popping and static noise are both gone, but now the output sounds like crap. The audio from an MP3 player, CD, Sirius, or FM sounds muddy and not great, crisp quality.
I have been told that the Subwoofer CAN be connected back into the D2, but I just don't know exactly HOW it can be done.
In other words, can I use the D2's built in amp (50 watts by 4) and have all "5" speakers connected (2 Front, 2 Rear, and 1 Subwoofer). If so, how is it done?
ANY suggestions would be truly appreciate as I am getting more and more frustrated with this as time goes on.
Even if I went back to the Factory Amp and someone could suggest how to get rid of the Popping Noise and Static Noise, that could be an option too.
I am desperate...HELP!!!!
I am willing to pay someone to help solve this problem. PM me if you can help me or just reply to my post here.
Thanks very much guys!!!!!!!
