I'm installing it in my G35 and I know that a trim ring had to be fabricated to hide gaps in the JDM kit with the installation of the F-series. Wondering if the same is true with the Z series or if it comes with its own trim ring that I can modify myself to fit my car.

Mine didn't come with a trim ring I had to buy the double din cage kit from Pioneer; that came with the trim ring.

Scosche seems to make the best kits.

if you take a look at the one from pioneer it comes with a cage . i need this as i have a 04 dodge ram that has been converted to a double din with lots of fiberglass work. i had a d 3 in there and it was done nicly to match that unit .

now i need a cage with a trim ring so i dont have to fiberglass again . just wondering if that kit fits the z

The Z110 does not come with a cage. The D3 cage could be made to work with minimal, if any, modification.
