I drive a 08 VW Gti and am curious if the vw specific AVIC-F9110BT which is only out in europe is compatible (or mod-able) to the US maps. Also, would I run into any other issues? DVD regions, etc?

 

I could always get a US series model, however I like the "oem look" of the F9110 and want to explore that possibility.
