I searched the forum and didn't find the answer so I figured I would ask.

 

I have an AVIC-F7010bt.

 

Whenever I try to play a CD or DVD I get an error.

 

Error-23

 

According to the owners manual that I download that error means that it is bad media, but I get that no matter what I put into the player. Any ideas? Just a bad CD/DVD reader?

 

Not all that big of a deal as I use an iPhone and an SD card for music most of the time anyhow.

Since the 7010 cant play DVDs I would expect an error when you insert a DVD but it shouldnt happen with a CD.

 

have you tried a professional CD as well as burnt CDs? it should be able to read both but i might be picky about that.

 

regardless, it sounds like it could be a bad reader.
