Help with understanding update

Hi,

 

Can someone confirm that I'm understanding the 3.0 update for the X910BT correctly:

 

The free download from Pioneer's website is for the unit's FIRMWARE

 

The pay update (CNSD-100FM) is to update the MAP data

 

 

Also, the X910BT that I purchased has a manufacture date of October 2009, is it safe to assume that is already has these updates? (I have not installed yet, so have not seen the version screen.)

AFAIK the x-series already have the 3.0 update
