Just installed the unit today along with the amp. The unit turns on when I start the key. When using the bluetooth the voice only goes through the unit not the speakers it does mute the stereo though. I tried setting it both and preout but doesnt go to the speakers. On the amp I have the yellow and red wires going to a power supply and the black going to the ground. I have all my speakers wired in as well. But I dont have anything taping into the telephone audio signal for the radio. Im guessing thats not right but I dont see anything on in the manual for a wire for the telephone audio signal. Im only using 8pins of the 16pin connector. In the manual it states theres a pink wire for speed and an orange for something else, but I done have any of the colors. Would having the blue/white cable tied into the mute wire affect this? Ive seen that it doesnt need to be tapped if using the amp.
My other problem is that I bought this used. The seller updated the firmware to 2.0 for me but said I needed to update the tts and bluetooth. He never gave me a chip either. If anyone would like to either make a copy and send it to me, I would gladly pay for your time and effort. Im really not good with the programming end (I have ADD and manage to skip a few important steps)
