I have not changed anything about the music selection on my iPhone since I've installed my BT110, but I have noticed that the time my unit takes to complete creating the "iPod VR Directory" varies wildly from start-to-start. Most of the time it takes mere seconds, but sometimes it can take minutes, or even tens of minutes. Anyone else see this happen? Any ideas what could be causing it?

I have noticed that it can complete fairly quickly sometimes and longer at other times. Regardless, it never takes longer then thirty seconds at its longest. You really don't need it to catalog unless you add or remove content. Just turn it off if that doesn't apply every time you get in the car.
