I recently purchased an avic z1 from a forum I frequent. When I installed the unit I tried to play a cd, it said unreadable disc, did the same with a dvd. Now, the person I bought it from said he had the hard drive updated to a 60gb with the AVIC Z3 software as well as 2009 maps and POI's. Is there anything I can do to fix this??? I'm concerned that I purchased a very expensive paperweight.

other then sending it out for reppairs its just a paper weight.. look on ebay sameday auto repairs his name is Richard really nice guy to deal with.. hope this helps you out..sorry and it sound slike a bad lazer inthe cd/dvd player
