Hello,

I connect my new phone to my Z1. My Blackberry connects just fine everytime, but the Moto will not. It recognizes the Z1 but the two will not connect. The phone thinks it connected but when a call is made nothing happens with the Z1. The Z1 displays that it is not connected with the phone. I have reset the unit, changed the name of the phone and Z1, changed the passwords on both as well. I never had a problem before with an echo, but does anyone recommend a bluetooth update? Is there one? I have to do the firmware update again and the CDDB update again from the pioneer website due to the reset. I also have no bypasses installed. I believe I lost my flasher bypass when the Bluetooth (ND-BT1) was installed.

Help!

You should not have to to the firmware update again since it should not be lost with a level 4 reset... You can confirm this by the fact that your light flash bypass no longer works. The firmware update should have included the BT update. You can do the 2 wire bypass. Instructions are in the hacks forum. Look at the 'sticky' post at the top of the hacks forum.

I looked at this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2409

and I do not see the Barrage as a known working phone...

Here are the latest free pioneer updates for the Z1:

http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/ ... C-Z1?tab=F

You could also update to Z2, Z3, or 2009 Z3 updates that include firmware, maps, and POI... the Z2 updates did fix and add a few functionalities.

Thanks for the info about the firmware, but are there any suggestions about how to get the phone to connect with the bluetooth unit?
