Why not. What is explanation for that. Is the problem in hardware or software. It is not logical, I don't understand reason for that...

North American units only need to support (US) English and French voice recognition (may be Spanish, too, not sure). TO work across Europe it would need to understand far more languages, and I guess Pioneer did not want to go to the expense of adding more memory and software to do it...
