Hey guys I got my new Avic z110bt installed today and I was playing with the bluetooth music streaming on the unit. For some reason you can only use the play and pause button on the Avic unit, you cannot select any songs and it doesn't display any info on whats playing. Also to change the songs you must select it from the Iphone. I know that the AVIC has the support for both A2DP and AVRCP but does the Iphone 3gs support these features?

Iphone software version: 3.1.2

And one last quick question how can I tell which map version I have where can i find this on the unit screen?

Thanks!!

The 3G/3GS only supports A2DP. There may be extended support with the 4th gen phone or the 4.0 software expected this summer when the new phone is released. There may also be a hack available if you have your phone jailbroken but I have not ran across any info for sure. You have the latest map version as there has been no update sense the release of the unit.

It would be great if we could connect the iphone to the car via bluetooth and control the songs through the screen rather than the phone... There's got to be a way to do it...

Not without AVRCP.
