I purchased one of those white apple iPod a/v cables with USB and the video inputs back when I had my s700bt system. Now, it seems that this newer system has a different way of going about the iPod connection, namely with a 1/8" jack. Are there any adapters that radioshack might carry so I can keep using my apple cable with this system?

Also, is it safe to assume I cant just plug my new Z110bt into the same cables (ipod excluded) that went into the back of my f700bt, or will I have to change a few cable configurations first?

Radio Shack should have an adapter to convert the Apple cable to the proper connection for the Z. If you had an F 9 series you could swap the power harness as those harnesses have the VSS connection that the 7 series doesn't have. Also the bypass is slightly different and the RCA harness is different.
