I have done a search and have failed to find and answer to my problem but if there is a post i apologize in advance.
My problem is that I want to transfer my contacts from my blackberry curve to my Pioneer unit. What I would like to see if possible is that when someone phones me who is within my contacts is that the name comes up on the GPS screen. Right now if someone calls the name comes up on my blackberry if its in my contacts and only the phone number on the screen of the gps.
What I have tried so far is making sure that the names in my outlook 2007 in the file all read properly like "sam smith" I then sync my outlook with my blackberry. I then transfer them to the GPS unit (erasing the previous) and I can see the contacts in the list afterward's but they (the contacts on the GPS) are all backwards IE "smith sam" I have tried setting my blackberry settings in its address book to "last name first and first name last" but it still does the same thing.
Any help would be great,. Here in British Columbia Canada it has just become law that we cannot use cell phones at all unless we have a hands free device. I really want to be able to look at the GPS see who is calling and answer it if needed.
