Is there a way to adjust brightness in the unit besides the navi settings/day setting?? i really wish this would would like a television with the tint, sharpness, color, etc. but oh well if theres a solution to this great please tell me

also is there a way to disable the dimmer switch from the headlights at night? i like my unit to be bright! i hate it being dim and almost difficult to see especially if its angled on the dash! thank u

i dont have the illumination wire hooked up and i too like the unit to be bright at night but would like the navi to dim is there any way of doing this

Well bright and dim are contradictory. I don't really understand what your trying to accomplish.

well i was worried that if i hooked up the dimmer wire the display would be to dim on the radio or other functions at night. but the navi at night is just to bright

I believe there are separate dimmer settings for AV source and navi.
