AVIC-F900BT is possessed!

Hello!

I searched the forums to no avail for a solution to my problem. First post so please take it easy!

The last two weeks my f900 has been acting very very strange! After the car has started up, the f900 constantly switches sources (FM to AM to CD to Ipod etc.), changes the volume (up and down), initiates ATT, changes stations/songs, even powers off and back on, it's possessed! It continues to do this while I'm driving and doesn't stop until I turn off the car. At times has been "normal" but will eventually start this cycle after about 10 mins.

I haven't tried anything yet (not sure where to even start) so any help would be appreciated. I have an appt. @ dealership where I bought the car. It should still be under warranty so if it needs to be replaced it should be no problem. I was hoping there was an easy fix (reset receiver, fuse, etc) so I didn't have to go a week of listening to whatever the f900 wanted me to listen to. I forgot to mention I have the stock firmware. It has not been updated by me unless the dealership did it before I picked it up.

Thanks for any/all the help!

Sound's like lots of problems. If it's still under warranty take it back. It might be wiring or just a bad unit. It's a lot of work to restore back.

Thanks for the response Jeffs64, I'm hoping that replacing the unit will solve the problem. I'm not sure what has caused this issue, I've had the unit for about 8 months with no problems.
