I just received a SD card from Pioneer (they only sent 1) to upgrade my firmware from 1.001700 to 2.00600. As per the instructions, it updated and rebooted and the main menu appeared.
My issue become two-fold after the upgrade. First, the settings tab doesn't open when touched. The only way I can get to it, is by hitting menu to recalibrate the touch screen, which once done takes me to the settings screen. The firmware update took, as the version shows that it is now 2.00600. However, when trying to update the TTS, the Program language was a bunch of boxes ([][][][][][][][]), and the Voice language says -Russion male 1. I touched the button on the right of Voice language that should allow me to change the voice language, but it locks up and doesnt give me any options to change the voice language. I hit menu to get out, and had to calibrate to get back to the settings/l;aguage screen and this time change the programming language to English (US), and then it prompted me to accept the change and that the system will reboot. I did, and it did, but they only option is for the voice language is russian male1, and it freezes when i hit the voice language button.
The radio works, the ipod works, the maps work, but still the "settings" button does not work. I shut the car off and took out the SD and put it back in and restarted it thinking a 2nd download would fix it, but it wouldn't downlaod a 2nd time since it is the current version.
Any help here or suggestions. I have had this unit for 14 months-new- so the warranty is over. ANy suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
