I am having problems in my Pioneer AVIC-Z1 software since last 2 months. Some icons are grayed in my system for example my phone menu is grayed and I cannot use my phone on my system, I cannot edit album name or song name, cannot change background picture, cannot view hard disk info.

You will need to do the 2 wire bypass, and your grey buttons will work again. See the Hacks forum:
