Z110BT Not Powering Down — AVIC411 Forum Archive

Hi,

Just had my z110bt installed. When I shut off the car, the deck stays on. I have to start up the car again and then shut down...at this point the deck powers off.

Any suggestion as to what the problem may be.

Either your car has a feature that retains power to the unit when the car is turned off or there is an install error.

Thanks for the reply!

I noticed that if I am listening to a CD and power off...the unit shuts off. If I don't have a CD in, it will not shut off. I have a 2006 Honda Odyssey minivan.

06 Odyssey should have both a constant and a accessory wire on the wiring harness so it should shut down when the car is shut off completely or when a door opens. I just installed a deck in an 03 Odyssey I believe it was that share the same harness as your 06 Odyssey. I quickly just shut the car down and it turned off. Possibly an installer error or defective unit. Did you have factory navigation?
