The POIs of the z110bt are not very extensive. Is there anyway this can be upgraded?

No, not with the internal POI database. You can use the AVIC FEEDS PC app to supplement the onboard POI. Those POI will be stored and accessed from the SD card. What problems are you having with the on board POI?

Before this unit, I would use a stand alone Magellan GPS. With the Magellan, I noticed that there was a more extensive selection of POI's. For example, when travelling up the west coast from California to Washington: My friends and I would sometimes get the urge to stop at local casinos for a short period of time to eat/play poker. I noticed that the Z110bt POIs do not even include this "casinos" as a selection. How can I add more selection categories. What are avic feeds? I do not have an I-Phone. Can I still upgrade the POI's?

You can still use the AVIC FEEDS PC app. Details are on the Pioneer site. And if I remember correctly, Casinos are in the ENTERTAINMENT category of the internal POI database.

Correction, there in the LEISURE category.
