Has anyone replaced the lame incoming call image on the Z1 yet? It is so lame Sheesh. I would imagine it would be like mod'ing the boot image etc....

If I'm thinking of the same image you're thinking about, you can change it yourself and it does not require getting into the hard drive. You can actually set a different image for different phonebook entries. You can use the pre-existing images or you can upload real photos to correspond with the caller. You can change these images in the phonebook settings, I believe. I hope that's the image you were talking about.

It's too bad we can't change the hokie "Rinnnngggg" image for everyone with one go. It's a pain to have to set the image for each contact in your phone book.

yes you can change the image of the income ring all you have to do once you unlocked the hdd is look for the image on the hard drive and replace it with another one just change the file name on the new picture to the one you replacing i would give you better instructions but my car is not with me at the time

Just burn a CD with a pitures folder and you can pull in any JPEG to use for each contact. I did it and now all 20 contacts in my address book have pictures associated with them.

i did.... i replaced it with a picture of my Verizon enV phone.... works fine!
