Reverse signal wire

I have spent some time searching here and haven't found my answer yet, so here goes.

Does anyone know the value of the resistor in the AVIC Z2 reverse sensor wire? I no longer have the original wire and am installing my AVIC Z2 into a different car. I'm sure I have a resistor that will work, but need to know the value to use.

Second, can you tell me the main differences between the AVIC Z2 and the Z3?

Thanks.

I don't know the answer to your transistor question so hopefully someone else will be able to provide that.

The differences between the Z2 and Z3 are all software based: (slightly) improved speed, better voice recognition, and new maps. The Z2 bypass will work on the Z3.

Thanks. Doesn't sound like much except for the map update, since I don't use voice commands.

Yup. I imagine by the time the Z3 updates came out, Pioneer was nearly finished with coding the Z110BT so they didn't focus too much on the AVIC line that was on its way out.

OK, I found a Pioneer reverse extension wire. I measured it. The internal resistance is 1000 Ohms.
