Z110 Not Compatible with MSN/Bing Map "Send to GPS" ?

So just got my unit installed tonight. So far sort of so good ...

One thing I thought that would be cool once I set up my MSN Direct, was I noticed Bing Maps has an option of Send to GPS. However, they say I don't have a device compatible for this. When I looked at the device list, I saw a bunch of Garmins and figured no biggee must not work with Pios, but then there was a list of some of the lesser Pio nav units. Is this an oversight on MSN's part not listing the newer Z110 and I just can't figure out how to do it, or can you not use Send to GPS with the Z110? If the latter, that is pretty weak that the lesser units could do it and the Z can't. :(

This would be an extremely useful feature and a much more elegant solution than the current AVIC feed iphone app.

You cant do it with MSN but you can do it with AVIC FEEDS through Google Maps. However that feature is broken right now.

What is/was AVIC with Google maps? Is that different than the iphone app? I actually tried the iphone app and it worked fine, but I'd prefer to not have to scan through my contacts to find the addy and have it just autosend to the GPS. Was that what the AVIC/Google Map web integration did?

(BTW, sorry for dupe post I just scanned down and saw someone just recently posted the same question .... :( )

Yes.

Yes.

Hmmm very interesting. So it was working at one point and then just stopped? As in broken or discontinued? Also, if you used it was it good?

I'd much prefer to use Google maps over Bing. (Just tonight, Bing was a huge bust trying to look up a place called "The Woods" in LA when Google nailed it as the top choice.)

Apparently it is a bug that Google is working on right now. And yes, when it works it does so very well. It works in the same way as Bing.

It looks like they fixed it. It works now.

Thanks, just check it out. Apparently it only works with the AVIC feeds software though, right? Isn't that PC only? I've got a Mac. :(

(Which, according to your sig, you do, too?)

Yes, PC only. I use it through Parallels Desktop.
