I just noticed the following entries in the Sys.txt file in the APL2-iGo folder:

default_latitude="34.05116"

default_longitude="-118.24258"

Does anyone know if setting these to my most common starting point will help the GPS unit startup more quickly?

No... from what I know all those settings do is tell the AVIC what position on the map to start when there is no GPS signal. Once its locked on then it goes to your current location.
