Bluetooth and Blackberries

My bluetooth adapter showed up today and it was a pretty easy installation. I was able to get my Blackberry 7100i to pair up with it right away and it seemed to work really well. I was happy enough with the sound quality and the people I talked to didnt hear any echo or anything, they said it didnt even sound like they were on speaker phone.
The only problem I have is my address book is not transferring to the stereo. I have it set to transfer the phonebook to the stereo on the blackberry but its not doing anything.

I have exactly the same problem. I did some research and found that apparently RIM doesn't allow this for security reasons. However that doesn't seem right since the option is on the unit. I think it's a matter of the blackberry and pioneer not being compatible. Hopefully they will come out with a software upgrade for this.

I have read that the address book transfer works with other car bluetooth units, particularly factory installed ones in audi and bmw cars. The phone has to have 4.1 or greater software on it though. The bug must be with the pioneer unit then.

My 8700C syncs up fine, but I cannot tranfer the phone book (in the Blackberry options, there is an option for "Transfer Address Book" - this is an on or off option, not an actionable "send" type feature. I have it on, but no dice)

And yes, I do have a BMW, and the car automatically reads the phone book when I start up, so this is frustrating - is it a Pioneer issue? Since it's working with the BT in my BMW, I'm hoping a firmware upgrade will address this...
