Does anyone know how to change the device number?

I have an AVIC F90BT and had to reload the software. But now my device number is different so I can't use my upgrade that I had bought. Does anyone know of a way to change the device number? If this question has already been answered somewhere else, can someone please post a link to it. Thanks!!

Phone pioneer electronics. As long as you have a Device ID that is registered to your AVIC, they can help you out.

What you just said made no sense. The Device number on my AVIC changed to a completely new number.

Sorry, your right, your device id is the ID registered to your unit. That should not have changed by a simple software upgrade. Either way, I would still phone Pioneer as you have a legit copy. Just tell them what you did and maybe they can shed some light on it.
