Guys im having trouble instaling my GEX-P5700TV with my Avic N2. I got a question, threw which cable does the power get supplyed to the GEX-P5700TV is it from the parking brake? Also the avic is grounded to the parking brake so do I have to also ground the GEX-P5700TV. And If any one can help out with any advice or hints becuase the instructions that came with it suck!!!

If i remember correctly, the 5700tv gets hooked up to any 12v constant line. The IP bus will control it to turn on and off. The 5700tv does not need to be grounded.

Ok my interpretation of the manual.

Yellow - Constant +12volts

Red - Don't connect to anything

Black - Ground

Green - Ground this if you want to be able to use it while moving. Otherwise hook it up to the parking brake wire in the car

So the unit DOES have to be grounded. Sorry PaisanNYC close but not quite.

I have to check but i think my green wire is not connected.

Well I don't know my info is based solely on reading the install manual. Either way the at least the black wire does have to be grounded for the unit to even work properly.

you are right the black wire IS grounded for the negative. Im sorry. I was just thinking of the parking lead. Thats why I mentioned that. I forgot to include the black ground
