OK, here's one for the genius' among you.

I've done an extensive search and while there's lots of references to the files for the cameras and updates for how they are notified, i can't find anything that tells how to mod the files directly.

I want to be able to add an imaginary camera local to myself (the nearest real one is 45minutes away) so i can test settings.

Does anyone know (or know a link to) how i can do this?

Thanks in advance

Your going to have to use one of the mods that is available on the forum. If that will not be a good option for you, I would suggest you PM one of the mod creators and see if they will provide instructions on how to do the camera mod without modding anything else. Make sure you let them know what software version you have on your unit and what country you are in.

I have an editor for the speed camera files. This allows you to import and edit the speedcam files. You can also create new locations. When you are finished you output as a spud (speed cam update) file. when you boot you this the imports and overrides/updates any existing locations as well as adding you new ones

I will locate this and post a link soon

This is a .kml and a .xml file. How is this suppose to convert other files. There is no application or utility here. Maybe I am missing something here.

Speedcamupdater.rar has;

speedcamtemplate.kml and speedcamupdates.0.97.xls

Open the XLS file in Excel.

If you have windoze, some versions don't like the extra dots in the file name, you may have to remove them

Use the import button to import the speedcam files

Use the Export button to export to a spud file
