I just installed avic110 in 2010 GTI and everythings seems to work fine. However, my teenage son hears a very low pitched hiss/hum coming from all speakers. It is more noticable at higher volumes when no sound or pause in music. To test it I put the CD on pause and turned volume up and could really hear it. This is what I have:

1)connect2 with VW wireing harness

2)avic110 connected to OEM Dynaudeo speakers with OEM amp connected through harness(crimped connecters, I should have solder and heat wrapped)

3)connect2 antenna adaptor with blue wire connected to unit

4)Ok I thought this was the problem, I ran power cable for sub amp from driverside under dash over to passenger side and to trunk of car to sub amp. I tried to keep away from back of HU but was very close and touching wires to some degree. I wanted to be on the other side from the OEM amp becouse I did not know how shielded it was.

BUT WHEN I REMOVED FUSE TO CUT POWER TO THAT AMP CABLE THE HISS WAS STILL THERE!

My thoughts was that I either have interference from harness and HU since stuffed into tight space or loose or poor connections but all speakers are affected. The sound we can live with, but hate when things are not perfect. Any thoughts would be great!
