Hi, i've changed some files in the avic. Now it don't start the normal way. The screens hangs on the startpage (Pioneer navgate). Testmode didn't work. What can i do, to come in the testmode???

...when i have a testmode on the sd-card, the system starts, on screens the startpage (pioneer navgate), then the lights go on and then it shuts down...i have a european version...

Are you using the latest test mode 2.3. I had some problems with older versions to work after upgrade. Also just try to format sd card first before copying over testmode to it.

Hi there. Nothing works no more. The device just powers on with a 1/10 second white flashing screen after pressing power for about 10 seconds. With or without SD Card. No logo no way to start testmode.

I believe the flash has been written wrong one time. The only chance i see is to update uboot.bin uboot.cks. Iread this step in another documentation. Can anybody provide me that files? I did not find anything regarding that device till now.

...i think, that the mbr is dead...because the system doesnt start with the pioneer logo...

first the blue light blinks, then it comes a black screen and after that it flashes white and then go out...

can nobody help me???

okay, now i've access to the testmode...and i have copy my backup files to the system. But the systems doesnt starts...same as before...

You copied everything as it was before. The whole myflash. Did you just copy over or delete everything first. You might want to delete everything on gps first then copy backup. If that does not work you might have to update wince to see if that works.

i've found an older wince update here in the forum and installed it. then i came in the testmode. in testmode there are only folders with "dump..." on the flash disk. I deleted everything on the flash disk, copied my backup on the flash, turn the unit off, update the wince with the version of the newest update from pioneer. but when i then start the unit, again the black screen comes up. no startlogo, no start in the pioneer soft...

so i need to update the older wince sw to go to the testmode....but what must i do then? nothing seems to work?

my backup is already a 3.x Version (my unit is only a few weeks old and has already the 3.02 i think on start), the backup of my system is from a version after the latest update from pioneer. so it is usefull, to take the 3.02 update? when it should be so, then i need this software. i've only the backup of my flash from the latest software....

First wince is not updated using testmode. Might want to read a little more. Also what folders did you copy over the first time you played around with your gps. I need to know exactly what you did to your gps after you got it.

i know that testmode dont update wince...maybe my english isnt very good...and i have read thousands of posts here to solve my problem...

the problem began, as i copied some files from a theme to the flashdisk in testmode. the wince says something about "could not write error" ...

when i now start with the black screen, all of my backup data, that i've copied before with testmode on the flashdisk, was erased by the system...there are only some dump folders inside the flash...

i also need help restoring the Master Boot Record (MBR)...i think, thats why the system don't boot up...

Ok so what you are saying is that you did not do a full backup before you copied files to your gps. If so you should at least try to get your licence. Without that you have problems. Let me know. Well will go from there.

Now before you installed files on your gps did you install the free update from pioneer.

i cant update the newest update from pioneer. i've tried it to start from sd-card and also by clicking on update.exe in wince-mode. nothing happens then...

I don't mean to do it now but did you do it before trying to upgrade your firmware. Also you would not happen to be from ontario canada. Would be easyer for me to fix your gps if I had it.

yes, after i became this unit, i did the last update from pioneer (for the newer versions). and i'm from germany....

i've a legal 3.0x Version ...so only 1 license...

i have a backup with the diskrw-tool on wince before this update and also a backup from the whole "my flash disk" after this update. but i haven't got a backup of both wince-versions and also no backup from the sdmlc-drive...

I guess you tried to restore you gps with disk-rw. You messed things up. Wince can not be downgraded. If you tried to restore your gps with the old firmware and wince with disk-rw you realy messed things up. I can't help you. You will need to send to pioneer for repair.
