Does the IP-bus always need to be hooked up as a loop? Must both in (black) anAND out (blue) wired be attached to the Z1 and then go around through the peripherals (i-pod & XM) ?

 

It appears that I am one bus wire wire short to do this so. I figured there'd be 2 long wires for the hideaway XM reciever which I've mounted under the driver's seat but there was only 1 long bus wire in the box. So, now I'm confused about how the bus works . Any 411 would be VERY helpful as I've almost completed the install.

The Z1 has 2 IP Bus connectors? Every other Pioneer HU only has 1.

They hook up in a chain, not a loop.

My bad, I mistook the AV-BUS from the tv-tuner for the IP bus. Thanks for clearing my head.
