!st post but been reading the site for a while. What size resistor is needed to get rid of the factory sub pop when the car is turned on? I just want something to do something simple that I can put in line with the remote turn on wire & not have to do the 276-1770 - Model 7805 that I read about on here. I'm going to Radio Shack & just need to know what size resistor I need.

When we fixed my map day/night problem we put a 3.3k 1/2wt resistor inline with the remote turn on & I no longer have any pop at all when I turn my car on. It's nice & quiet now just how I like it.

1.5 k on the amp turn on should do the trick

for ford 7.5 k works for all models from way back til now. do it every day. jim
