I've read a lot of conflicting information on this... do any actually exist? Some say that CNDV-80MT contains one but 90T does not. I have neither... does this mean I need to purchase both to get the firmware upgrade and the newer maps?

What disks are you running?

The 80 MT had some issues with the XM icons not working.. and boot times were slow.

The 90 MT fix those issued and boots much faster... i also think in my opinion the unit run in general smoother

I have used the 80MT for awhile before purchasing the 90MT from SWDW. Like he said,the 90MT ran much smoother. Start-Up screen loads much quicker than the 80MT.

BTW,from what i have read,both version only update map data no firmware.
