F900BT Issues

I live in the US, and my F900BT has been an reboot cycle. I have ordered the new maps and firmware from Pioneer and I am sure that when it arrives I will be able to flash my MyFlash Drive and then install the fresh firmware and maps, and that will be great. However, that is still several days out and I would like to use my GPS in the meantime. I attempted to use TestMode and clear out all of the old corrupted stuff and install everything fresh; however, I cannnot uninstall the APL2 folder, and there 119 files in it with all sorts of stuff in what looks like wingdings for file names. I would really like to just clear everything out of the system and then do a clean install of everything. I attempted to download the WindowsCE format tools that were posted on the forum wiki, but the links are broken, so if someone can help me out I would really appreciate it.

You could follow these instructions:

But you need a backup. If you don't have one you are going to have to download the generic one mentioned in the tutorial.

Good luck.

BTW: I have a sneaking suspicion that just installing new firmware and maps won't fix your problem as it might be the OS files that are corrupt. I hope I'm wrong.
